The Firm

John M. Sullivan. John is the founder and principal associate with GPAC. The development of the firm has been a career-fulfilling desire of John since his entrance into politics in 1976. His lobbying career has entertained such notable advances as Tort Reform and Gaming, as well as the election of the state's first Republican governor since Reconstruction. Currently, his client list details a cross section of the state's most dynamic innovators in the fields of Information Technology, Healthcare, Workers Compensation, and Tourism. With a masters degree from Millsaps College and an undergraduate from the University of Southern Mississippi John brings a clear macro sense of economic understanding, maintaining a 'big picture' approach for all of his lobbying endeavors as well as legislative counterparts. John has maintained for himself a bi-partisan approach to the electorate of Mississippi providng a clear unbiased problem-solving approach for the needs and desires of each client of GPAC. John now embraces a new chapter in his tenure with the GPAC team as in July of 2008 he will take a leave of absence from his lobbying duties for an opportunity as the new State Executive Secretary to the Mississippi Board of Contractors. This is the first time in nearly 34 years that the Board of Contractors has had a 'new' Secretary but more importantly is that the move will allow John to focus on key issues that surround the impending successful growth potential for his beloved state in this post Katrina renaissance as the point for the Board in overseeing all commercial and residential contractor licensing throughout the state. We wish him great success and look forward to the day that he will return with the GPAC team . jms@gpac.net A 2003 graduate of Lobbying areas include, but are not limited to: Economic Development/ Small Business Healthcare Tourism Insurance Construction T.Grace Butler.
